Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924, in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district. Vajpayee was one of the country’s most recognised and beloved leaders, known for his captivating personality, humour, and oratory prowess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first no-Congress Prime Minister of India. He was elected to the Lok Sabha nine times and twice for the Rajya Sabha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2014, on his birth anniversary, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was awarded India’s highest civilian honour the ‘Bharat Ratna’ by the then President of India Pranab Mukherjee. The Government of India also declared on December 25 in 2014 that, to honour the legendary politician, our country will celebrate the day every year as Good Governance Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
