As the world dealt with the impact of coronavirus, several people came out to help with the fundraising platform, in which many were able to save the lives of their loved ones through the platforms like Ketto, Donatekart, among others. However, there were also instances in which some people allegedly misused funds for their own personal benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recently, TMC spokesperson Saket Gokhale has come in the soup of allegedly misusing funds. According to reports, Gokhale started his fundraising platform in 2019 and said that he wanted to pursue RTI activism full time. However, he said that when he first raised funds, the page clearly stated that it was for his sustenance to do his work full-time without a job (not for Rs. 10 RTI expenses).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said that the kind of people who supported him were well aware of that. Apart from this, he also claimed that he deactivated his crowdfunding platform in mid-2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, some of the users pointed out that he was receiving donations till January 1, 202, and he never stopped taking money from people. Social media users also pointed out that the Razor Pay link was active on his Instagram Bio until, and recently he changed it to his Twitter link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
