The National capital has reported a ‘satisfactory’ Air Quality Index (AQI) on Monday morning. It is reported 53 in the national capital. This information has been shared by the Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) and Ministry of Earth’s Sciences. Delhi has been witnessing thunderstorms and heavy rainfall for the last two days. Due to this, the AQI of the national capital had improved so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the official reports, the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi had improved on Sunday. It was recorded in the ‘satisfactory’ category as the city had witnessed heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had said that cold waves will be starting from January 11, 2022 in the northern parts of the country. As the western disturbances are moving towards the East, the temperature will dip drastically in these parts, including Delhi. Besides this, the department also said that Delhi’s temperature will dip between 4-6 degrees celsius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, they added in their statement that there has been a fall in the temperature of Rajasthan as well. Therefore, the cold waves will be starting in Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana from January 12, 2022. This will lead to a dip in their overall temperature. These states can witness temperatures between 5-6 degrees celsius till January 14, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are different categories of the Air Quality Index (AQI). An AQI between 0-50 is considered as ‘good’, 51-100 is considered as ‘satisfactory’. While AQI between 101 to 200 is known to be ‘moderate’, 201-300 is considered in the ‘poor’ category and 301 to 400 as ‘very poor’ and between 401 to 500 is known as the ‘severe’ category.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
