Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday announced that his party will contest on 50-100 seats in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He will be visiting western Uttar Pradesh tomorrow, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier on Tuesday, Raut had lauded praise on Swami Prasad Maurya after the latter resigned as a minister in the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. Maurya is known for his skills to gauge the upcoming change in the election and thus BJP should be wary, he said while speaking to the media after the comments made by NCP chief Sharad Pawar regarding the upcoming polls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His remarks comes in response to the NCP supremo Sharad Pawar’s announcement of joining hands with Samajwadi Party and other smaller parties to contest upcoming assembly elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier on Tuesday, Pawar announced that the NCP will join hands with Samajwadi Party and like-minded parties in Uttar Pradesf for the upcoming assembly polls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on UP BJP Minister Swami Prasad Maurya’s switch to SP, he claimed that the change is visible in Uttar Pradesh and it is just a beginning as more and more leaders from various parties are ready to cooperate with the opposition in UP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He hoped that Samajwadi Party and allies will form the government in UP. He announced that he will soon participate at the meeting convened by Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav to discuss election strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The NCP will contest 5 seats in an alliance with Congress in Manipur while the talks are underway with Shiv Sena and Congress in Goa for the BJP\u2019s defeat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The elections for the 403 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will be held in 7 phases from February 10. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
