Minutes after the BJP confirmed that Yogi Aditynath will contest from his stronghold Gorakhpur, the Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav hit out at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and said that it is good that the BJP has already sent him to Gorakhpur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yogi Adityanath should stay there and no need to come back, Yadav said. He used to say that he will contest from Ayodhya, will fight from Mathura, or Prayagraj, however, someone had booked his ticket for Gorakhpur on March 11 after the result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hitting out at Adityanath, Yadav said that the UP Chief Minister could not run the metro in his district Gorakhpur, there was no sewer line and the youth of Gorakhpur is being beaten by the police everyday.\u00a0The Uttar Pradesh people will teach them a lesson.\u00a0BJP has already sent CM Yogi to his home (Gorakhpur) back, he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With help of multiple alliances with UP’s regional parties like Jayant Yadav’s Rashtriya Lok Dal and Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suhldev Samaj Party, Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party has emerged as the strong contender of the ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh ahead of next month’s assembly elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Akhilesh Yadav and Yogi Adityanath have been engaged in war or words for the past few months. However, yesterday, Yadav had launched a series of attacks at his rival Adityanat’s 80 vs 20 comments that were widely interpreted as a hint at the Hindu-Muslim ratio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Adityanath’s 80 vs 20 jibes, Yadav said that 80% of Uttar Pradesh people are with the Samajwadi Party and the remaining 20% of the people have also turned against the BJP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his statement, Yadav had also claimed that the BJP is sure to be wiped out from Uttar Pradesh.\u00a0He also urged the people to support them virtually because it is not possible to hold rallies in public in the wake of Covid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His remarks had come after welcoming three Uttar Pradesh ministers- Swami Prasad Maurya, Dara Singh Chauhan and Dharam Singh Saini and dozens of other BJP MLA had resigned this week from the BJP alleging the party’s policies for the OBCs, Dalits, farmers and unemployed youths. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
