Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly election, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra gave a hint she might be Congress’ CM face for upcoming Uttara Pradesh elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recently, she was releasing a manifesto in which Congress outlined job creation plans for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. At that time, she was asked about the Congress’ chief ministerial candidate for this election, given that BJP’s CM face will be Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party’s CM face will be Akhilesh Yadav.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To which, Priyanka replied and said do you see any other face in the UP Congress Party? Then? After which, the speculation started doing rounds that this time she will be Congress’ CM face for Uttar Pradesh elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was also asked who is leading the Congress’ campaign in Uttar Pradesh. Replying to that, Priyanka said you can see my face, can’t you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, there is no confirmation, yet about Priyanka Gandhi contesting the election. But it is important to note that she does not need to contest or win an Assembly seat to become Chief Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The same goes for Yogi Adityanath and Akhilesh Yadav. But, they will be contesting elections. BJP’s Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur and Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav will contest from Karhal seat in UP’s Mainpuri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, in 2017, Congress and Samajwadi Party joined hands but they lost the election. This time, both the parties decided that they will not form an alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
