A day after reports claiming that the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly served a show-cause notice to Virat Kohli for his comment on captaincy ahead of South Africa tour, he replied that this is not true at all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When ANI contacted Ganguly for a comment on the reports, he told that he had no intention of doing anything of the kind to Kohli before the South Africa tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Various media reports claiming that Ganguly wanted to send a show-cause notice to Virat Kohli after his comment during the Indian team\u2019s pre-departure press conference that openly contradicted the Board president.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n However, fans have refused to believe whatever Ganguly said in his defence, especially, after Kohli had openly contradicted his statements and practically called him a liar during press conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last week, after Virat Kohli stepped down from Test captaincy, Ganguly had tweeted that it was his personal decision and the BCCI respects him and his decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A day after Kohli was removed as the ODI skipper, Ganguly had told ANI that he had indeed spoken to Kohli regarding the leadership change. He had requested Kohli to also not give up the T20I captaincy, the BCCI president had claimed.
