Shivratri is a major Hindu festival that honors Shiva and Parvati’s marriage. Every month, on the Chaturdashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha, Masik Shivratri is observed. People across India are observing Masik Shivratri today. The purpose of the Masik Shivratri vrat is to worship Lord Shiva. Masik means monthly and Shivaratri means a night of Lord Shiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If the monthly Shivratri falls on a Tuesday, it is extremely auspicious. During the Shivratri festival, prayers are offered at midnight. According to Hindu mythology, the impossible and challenging tasks can be accomplished by observing Masik Shivaratri Vrats by the grace of Lord Shiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Masik Shivratri will start on January 30 at 05:28 pm and will end at 02:18 pm on January 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The timings to perform Masik Shivratri Pujan is from 12:26 am to 01:17 am, on January 31, 2022. Pradosh Kaal is considered to be the most auspicious time for worshipping Lord Shiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the day of the monthly Shivaratri, one should wake up early in the morning and take the names of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in the Brahma Muhurta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, clean the house and take bath with Gangajal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that, offer milk, curd, panchamrit, fruits, flowers, incense, lamp, cannabis, datura, and bilvapatra to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During worship, chant the Mahamrityunjaya mantra and the Om Namah Shivaya mantra rosary. After that, do aarti and express your wish to Lord Shiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the day, the person who is fasting may have one fruit and one glass of water. In the evening, do aarti and offer fruits. After offering prayers, break the fast the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preferably, the puja is done during midnight on this day. During the night, devotees conduct Shiv puja, visit Shiva temples and chant Lord Shiva’s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
