Prime Minister\u2019s 68^{th<\/sup> birthday celebration on Sunday was arguably marked by grand celebrations for any Indian prime minister while in office. In fact, the scale of events this year even dwarfed Modi\u2019s past three birthday celebrations as the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n}

The difference this year was largely made by Uttar Pradesh government headed by Yogi Adityanath. \u00a0UP witnessed most of the grand functions and events organized by the BJP.<\/p>\n

Party\u2019s Uttar Pradesh unit has proactively held innovative programs for last several days under \u201cSewa Diwas<\/em>\u201d. It was inaugurated on September 15 by President Ram Nath Kovind when he visited his hometown Kanpur.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the \u201cSewa Diwas<\/em>\u201d was observed by party leaders across the country. Several Union ministers were asked to spend \u00a0two hours on Sunday volunteering in efforts to promote Swachh Bharat mission.<\/p>\n

In Lucknow<\/strong><\/a>, BJP held a grand event in front of the state assembly and party\u2019s headquarter with a 110 feet tall cut-out of PM Modi and 1500 kilogram of \u2018Laddoo\u2019. A special \u2018havan\u2019 was also held to bring good health and longevity for the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

Party members in Varanasi also ensured that PM\u2019s Lok Sabha constituency did not lag behind any other city in marking PM\u2019s birthday. In first such program ever, student of the Varanasi\u2019s nearly 130 government-run schools were lectured on \u201cpublic welfare schemes and achievements\u201d of the Modi government by party leaders on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, BJP was earlier planning to hold these functions on Sunday \u00a0in all schools but had to withdraw due to several reasons.<\/p>\n

A BJP Yuva Morcha in Ahmedabad<\/strong><\/a> has been distributing pamphlets for the last few days asking people to \u201cpledge\u201d to not criticize the government and not \u201cdirty\u201d the country.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a farmer\u2019s association from Andhra Pradesh came up with the most interesting idea to mark PM\u2019s birthday. Several farmers of the group have send cheques of 68 paise to the prime minister as a birthday gift in a bid to attract his attention towards their problems.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
