A draft National Higher Educational Qualification Framework (NHEQF) has been released by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is released as a part of the Nation Education Policy 2020. It was in the public domain on January 31, 2021. Now, feedback and suggestions will be given by the stakeholders by February 13, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per this draft, the higher education policy will soon be brought to a new framework to access students on a range of learning outcomes. It includes theatrical knowledge to technical skills along with job readiness to constitutional values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, the number of credits that are required to complete different levels of the four-year undergraduate program, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees are also established in the draft, according to the National Education Policy framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UGC officials tweeted that suggestions are invited from all stakeholders on the Draft National Higher Education Qualification Framework(NHEQF), which is developed as part of NEP 2020 recommendations. Suggestions can be sent to nepnheqf@gmail.com by 13th February 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The National Higher Education Qualification Framework is formulated to make blending easy of vocational courses into higher education. Also, the higher education qualification can lead to a diploma certificate, which shall also be described by the NHEQF in terms of such learning outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are certain parameters that are set according to this draft. It is set to assess students in higher education institutions and divided into levels 5 to 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides this, in the National Higher Education Qualification Framework, one credit is equal to one hour of teaching, which includes lectures or tutorials or 2 hours of practical work per week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
