Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday criticised the Narendra Modi government over several issues and said that India is a Union of States and not a nation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his Motion of Thanks to President’s Address speech at Lok Sabha, Gandhi said that according to the Constitution, India is a union of states and it cannot be ruled as a kingdom and different languages and cultures cannot be suppressed. The Congress leader further stressed that the Congress removed the idea of the King in 1947 and now there is a shehanshah. The instruments of the conversations between our state and people are being attacked by one idea, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rahul Gandhi also argued that the BJP and the RSS are playing with the foundation of India and are weakening the links within the country. Stressing on the China-Pakistan alliance and its threat to the nation, he said that India has been weakened due to attacks on institutions while China has a clear vision and India made huge strategic mistakes in Jammu & Kashmir and in its foreign policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said that the Bharatiya Janta Party is ignoring the plight of the poor and unemployed and only focusing on the rich people of the nation. He said that there are two Indias now, one India is for extremely rich people who have an abundance of wealth and do not need a job and another India is for poor people and the divide between the two Indias is widening. Taking a dig at Union Budget 2022, Gandhi argued that there is a 46% drop in manufacturing jobs in India because the unorganised sectors, MSMEs have been hampered completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
