Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra gave a speech in Lok Sabha on Thursday and several people got offended by it as she included the name of Jains and raised the topic of closing non-veg vendor shops in Gujarat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mahua Moitra in her speech accused the ruling government of curbing individual liberties. She said that they fear a future in India which is comfortable in its own skin and conflicting realities. So they fear a future India where a Jain boy can hide from home and enjoy a Kathi Kabab on a street cart in Ahmedabad. So, they forbid non-vegetarian street food in Gujarat municipalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Soon after this, the Jain community got agitated by her comment and said that she targeted their community and she should immediately apologise for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A social media user demanded an apology from Moitra and said that this is an insult to the ethos of Jains. She further said that I demand an apology from Moitra for having insulted the ethos of Jains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another user wrote that the Minority commission should take action against #MahuaMoitra for hurting the sentiments of #Jain people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yet another wrote that even small restaurants around the world know about Jain food but Mahua Moitra is attributing meat to Jains. Shame on her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
