The commission in its official statement asked the political parties to follow all Covid protocols such as wearing masks, proper social distancing, and using pocket hand sanitizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The poll body decided after the day when it held a meeting with the Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on Saturday after assessing the ground situation of covid in the poll-bound states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Take a look at Election Commission&#8217;s official statement here<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Ban on road shows, Pad-Yatras, cycle\/bike\/vehicle rallies and processions to continue; ECI grants further relaxation for Physical public meetings in indoor Halls and Outdoor meetings <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JZQCFdQJd7\">https:\/\/t.co\/JZQCFdQJd7<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Spokesperson ECI (@SpokespersonECI) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpokespersonECI\/status\/1490190205596614657?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 6, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While sharing the news on the official Twitter handle, EC revealed that the ban on roadshows, rallies, processions, and padayatra will continue till further order. As per the commission, the political parties can hold indoor meetings with a total of 50 percent of the capacity of the hall. While, for the outdoor meetings, it is fixed at 30 percent of the total open ground capacity with full focus on covid norms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commission in its official statement said the open ground rallies can be held only on the grounds which are specifically designated by the district authorities and subject to compliance with all the conditions of SDMA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commission has also mentioned that a maximum of 20 people are permissible for door-to-door campaigning. EC also added that same as before, there will a full ban on the campaign between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the commission has appointed special observers for the poll-bound states so that the assembly election 2022 can happen in a fair manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talking about the covid situation, ECI said that the special observers which were appointed by the poll body have sent their ground report.
