Bommai further informed that he has ordered the closure of all high schools and colleges for the next three days and urged the concerned to cooperate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I appeal to all the students,  teachers and management of schools and colleges as well as people of karnataka to maintain peace and harmony. It all started on December 28, when a group of Muslim girls protest against the matter in a college in the Udupi district. A total of five institutes have denied the entry of Muslim girls donning a hijab in the class. The authorities argued that the ban of hijab prevents any display of religious symbols in educational institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The protest gained momentum when a group of students donned saffron scarves in a college and raised Jai Shri Raam slogans.
