Charanjit Singh Channi, the Chief Minister of Punjab has put light on the true meaning behind his UP, Bihar De Bhaiya remark comment in a speech he delivered recently. He said that by his remark, he was referring to only Aam Aadmi Party leaders like Durgesh Pathak, Sanjay Singh and Arvind Kejriwal, who come from outside and cause disruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Minister’s video statement conveyed that since his speech on Wednesday, his statement has been twisted. He added that he has a bond with the people who have shed their blood and sweat for Punjab’s progress, and nothing can throw them out of people’s hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He continued that those who come to UP, Bihar and Rajasthan and work in Punjab, the state belong to them as much as it belongs to those who were born and brought up there. He requested people to not portray this in the wrong way. Many people move from other states and settle in Punjab. The Chief Minister urged everyone to not link themselves with people like Kejriwal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi delivered a speech on Wednesday, February 16, in which he said that Priyanka Gandhi is Punjab’s daughter-in-law, she is bahu of the Punjabis. He also said that UP, Bihar, Delhi bhaiyas will not be allowed to come to Punjab. He was accompanied by Priyanka Gandhi, who stood next to him, smiled and clapped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This remark by Channi was criticised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other BJP leaders. PM Modi asked would people like Guru Gobind Singh and Gurur Ravidas, who were born in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, be also thrown out of Punjab.
