With the third phase of polling being held in Uttar Pradesh today, the rhetoric of political parties is at an all-time high in an effort to win the seats. The political parties are constantly slamming each other ahead of assembly elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With voting set for today in the important Karhal Assembly seat, the political battle between the BJP’s SP Singh Baghel and the Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav, who are arrayed against one other, has intensified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taking a dig at Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav who was representing Kannauj and lost the seat, Baghel said just like Dimple lost Kannauj, Akhilesh Yadav will lose Karhal. He also criticized Akhilesh for bringing his father Mulayam Singh Yadav to the campaign to seek votes in his favour as he is afraid of losing the elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baghel further said that Mulayam Singh Yadav didn’t come here on his own but was forced to the campaign. He should have campaigned in the weak constituencies. Speaking to the news agency, Baghel said that usually, the child is the parent’s support in his old age but he is the first child who is asking an ailing father for help to avoid loss in Karhal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mulayam Singh Yadav, the SP patriarch, was forced to campaign for Akhilesh Yadav due to the looming loss of his son from the Karhal constituency, said Union minister Baghel. He went on to say that Akhilesh is the captain of a sinking ship who is seeking assistance from the former captain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the third phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections has started covering 59 constituencies in 16 districts. Polling started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. As many as 627 candidates are in the fray in this phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The third phase of polling is taking place in 16 districts namely, Hathras, Firozabad, Etah, Kasganj, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Hamirpur and Mahoba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
