After a spate of controversies took place at fintech firm BharatPe, Ashneer Grover resigned from his position of Managing Director and Director of the Board of BharatPe. His resignation came days after services of his wife Madhuri Jain Grover, who was the head of controls were terminated over the allegations of misappropriation of funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ashneer in his resignation letter wrote that he is writing this with a heavy heart as today he is being forced to bid adieu to a company of which he is a founder. Grover said that he is saying this with his head held high that today this company stands as a leader in the fintech world. Since the beginning of 2022, unfortunately, he has been embroiled in baseless and targeted attacks on him and his family by a few individuals who are ready not only to harm him and his reputation but also harm the reputation of the company, which ostensibly they are trying to protect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Grover further wrote that from being celebrated as the face of Indian entrepreneurship and an inspiration to the Indian youth to build their own businesses, he is now wasting himself fighting a long, lonely battle against his own investors and management. Unfortunately, in this battle, the management has lost what is actually at stake \u2014 BharatPe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Grover was caught in yet another controversy as a phone conversation went viral in which a man, alleged to be Ashneer Grover, was heard abusing an employee of Kotak Mahindra Bank after the lender has missed out on the initial public offering (IPO) allotment for Nykaa. At first, BharatPe managing director claimed the audio was fake. Later, he deleted the tweet. Kotak Mahindra Bank allegedly initiated a case against Ashneer Grover and his wife for using inappropriate language against their employees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
