Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday showered praise on Vivek Agnihotri’s hotly debated movie The Kashmir Files saying the film reveals the truth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at the BJPs parliamentary party meeting, he also asked the parliamentarians to watch the newly released film, The Kashmir Files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Claiming a conspiracy campaign to discredit the film, PM Modi said instead of reviewing the film on the basis of facts and art, there’s a conspiracy to discredit it. The movies on celebrities and major events after independence should be made, just like the Kashmir Files. The movies should also be made on Mahatma Gandhi, he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taking a swipe at the critics of the films, PM Modi said that they are furious because the recently-released movie is foregrounding the truth that was deliberately kept hidden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The film features Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Many BJP-ruled states including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Haryana have exempted the film from entertainment tax while others are looking forward to follow suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Apart from several filmmakers, writers and actors, the Chief Ministers of several states have backed The Kashmir Files. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Days after receiving huge praise from the audience, the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had on Sunday exempted the film from entertainment tax saying that the movie deserves to be watched by maximum people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that he and his entire cabinet would watch the film while his neighbouring counterpart Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb announced that the state government would make screening of the film tax-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government has been granted leave to state police personnel to watch the movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Kashmir Files\u2019 IMBd rating drops to 8.3, here\u2019s WHY<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
