Cyclone Asani is intensifying in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. As per the latest updates, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert and said that the depression adjoining the archipelago is expected to intensify into a deep depression in the next 12 hours and into a cyclonic storm in 12 hours after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMD tweeted that gusty winds speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 mph are expected to prevail in the Islands and adjoining the southeast Bay of Bengal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
