A shocking incident took place in Jharkhand’s Deoghar district on Sunday. It is reported that the cable cars in a ropeway collided with each other at Trikut hills which is close to Baba Baidyanath temple. According to reports, several tourists were injured and two died. The reports also state that around 48 people are still stuck in the 12 cabins in the ropeway and a rescue operation is currently underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The officials said that people are still stuck in at least 12 cabins in the ropeway and a rescue operation with the help of an Indian Air Force helicopter is underway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amidst this, the DC said that the situation is completely under control. Some people are still stuck in cable cars in the ropeway and they are being rescued. Currently, all the tourists are being evacuated safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Godda MP Nishikant Dubey also said that he had informed Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Jharkhand Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh and requested the deployment of NDRF teams. He said that he thanked the Union Home Minister for taking the cognisance of the matter immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ropeway is also situated around 20 km from Baba Baidyanath temple and is around 766-metres-long, while the hill is 4392-metres-high. It is reported that there are around 25 cabins in the ropeway and four people can sit in each cabin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to reports, the ropeway manager and other employees fled from the spot after the incident took place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An official has also said that the incident could have occurred due to a technical snag that resulted in the collision of the cable cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
