India is witnessing acute power cuts in several states. As per reports, the power crisis across India is due to the coal shortage that is resulting in blackouts in major cities like Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, and others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
States are requesting the Central Government to increase their supplies warning as they might run out of power if the stocks get over in the next couple of days. Following the power cut, senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Saturday slammed the Centre and said that the government has found the perfect solution to it which is to cancel passenger trains and run coal rakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For those who don’t know, the Indian Railways on Friday announced that it is cancelling a total of 735 trips of passenger trains. Reports said that as many as 713 trains have been cancelled till May 25 by the South East Central Railway and 40 trains have been cancelled by the Northern Railways till May 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
