This is considered to be the biggest challenge for Chancellor Angela Merkel in her 12 years in office.<\/p>\n<p>According to DPA from Berlin, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Angela Merkel will discuss the crisis later on Monday to figure out the way forward. The two leaders have to decide if there was any option for a new coalition or country has to face fresh elections.<\/p>\n<p>The coalition talks failed Sunday late evening after pro-business Free Democrats (FDP) pulled out saying there was no way to form a viable government with other proposed partners: Greens, Merkel\u2019s centre-right Christian Democrats (CDU) and the Bavaria, the only Christian social Union (CSU).<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that she regretted the collapse. She said, &#8220;As chancellor, I will do everything to ensure that this country is well managed in the difficult weeks to come.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>FDP leader Christian Linder was quoted saying that there was \u201cno basis of trust\u201d between the alliance partners. &#8220;It is better not to rule than to rule badly.
