Kerala Popular Front (PFI) leader Yahya Thangal on Saturday landed into controversy after he made a remark against the High Court judges. Tangal said their innerwear is saffron. Following his remark, Thangal was arrested and has been taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It all started after a video went viral on the internet wherein a boy in a PFI rally that took place in Alappuzha was seen shouting the slogan that Hindus should keep rice for their last rites and Christians should keep incense for their last rites. The boy also said if people from other communities live decently, they can live in India’s land and if they don’t live decently, we know Azadi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thangal, at a rally, said High Court judges are getting shocked after hearing the slogans of the Alappuzha rally because their innerwear is saffron. And since it’s saffron, they will get heated very fast and will feel burned, he further said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the sloganeering, Kerala High Court had directed the police to take immediate action against the Popular Front of India for the alleged provocative sloganeering with took place at May 21 rally in Alappuzha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police have so far booked 26 PFI activists in connection with this case and more are being questioned. The accused have been booked under sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups) and 505 (conducting public mischief), among others, of the Indian Penal code (IPC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Justice P Gopinath, while hearing a plea, expressed concern over the use of children in such rallies or events and said these children will grow up with hatred inside them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
