Several parts of Delhi-NCR received heavy rainfall and thunderstorm on Monday evening. The sudden change in weather brought much-needed relief for the residents from the scorching heat throughout the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rain was witnessed along with thunderstorms and pleasant winds that swept the city at a speed of 50 km\/hr, reports said. The relative humidity at 8.30 am was 63 per cent. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 41 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) in Delhi said that thunderstorms, dust storms, and gusty winds with a speed of 70-80 km per hour would occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Indrapuram, Dadri, Gurugram, Manesar, and Faridabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Though people got relief from the heat several parts of the area witnessed uprooted trees and waterlogging. The middle finial of the Jama Masjid was also damaged due to the heavy rains. Pictures of the same are doing rounds on the internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
