Patna Police on Sunday conducted raids in all hostels of Patna University. The police recovered gunpowder and other materials used in making bombs from Patna Hostel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Kadamkuan Police raided the Patna hostel and have also detained some youths involved in this matter. According to the reports, some students present in that particular room fled as soon as they heard about the raid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police have started searching for the accused by registering a case under the Explosives Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the information, the items were retrieved by the police by breaking the lock of the cupboard in the hostel room. The recovered items include\u00a0seven steel cans, two tapes, two wire-wrapped boxes, 550 grams of yellow-coloured gunpowder inside the boxes, and 200 grams of twine bombs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police have undertaken a campaign of raiding hostels after receiving the information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Taking the matter seriously and responding instantly, the police reached the spot where the explosive material was discovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There have been frequent fights between the students of Saidpur Hostel, PU Hostel, and Patel Hostel. The police have now been instructed to conduct raids every few days after the bomb-making material was recovered during the raid on Patel Hostel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
