The gruesome murder of the tailor in Rajasthan’s Udaipur has left people in utter shock. After the incident took place, the entire state of Rajasthan has been put on high alert. The internet has also been suspended for 24 hours and large gatherings have also been banned for a month after the murder of the tailor in connection to the row that took place over the Prophet Muhammad and former BJP leader Nupur Sharma’s remark on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The state government has also moved in about 600 extra troops in and around Udaipur and a curfew has also been declared in several parts of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tailor was identified as Kanhaiya Lal and he was stabbed multiple times and his throat was slit by two men who had come to his shop. The murder was also filmed by the attackers who were seen bragging in the video about the killing and threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several political leaders also appealed for peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made the appeal to people to not spoil the atmosphere by sharing the video of this incident. He said that by sharing the video, the criminal’s purpose of spreading hatred in society will be successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Senior police officer Hawasingh Ghumaria, the Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, also asked the media to not broadcast the video because of the highly inflammatory content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The tailor, Kanhaiya Lal expressed support on social media for Nupur Sharma, who made the controversial remark about Prophet Mohammed. Police also said that he received threats from several organisations for doing so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
