A video has been doing rounds on the internet in which Rampur SP Ashok Kumar can be heard saying that if a girl runs away with her lover then it is the fault of her parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said that if he could, he would arrest the parents of a girl who runs away with her lover. In the video, SP Ashok Kumar also said that parents should take good care of their children and they should observe their activities. He concluded by saying that have they left the children after giving birth to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The video is now being widely shared on the internet and is being criticised by several users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the users wrote that what is the use of saying this that the girl ran away, if both are adults and are doing this with consent then no one can do anything about it. And if the police try to do something in such a case then that would be a clear case of harassment from the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
