Backing Kohli, former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar said the former India skipper will find his mojo back. The batter should just focus on his batting, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Virat Kohli is the greatest player, in the last 10 years, if there has been any greatest player, it is Virat. He has 1-2 bad years, he still has scored runs, just the century has not come, Akhtar said on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Akhtar’s statement on Kohli comes in response to Kapil Dev’s take on Virat Kohli. The 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev had earlier said that if a No.2 ranked bowler like Ravichandran Ashwin can be dropped from Tests, then so can Virat be dropped from T20Is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Akhtar said discrediting him is not right. Kapil Dev is a legend he can voice his opinion. A great cricketer can talk like that. He respects him and his own opinion. Virat Kohli has 70 centuries and only a great player can score as many runs, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking about Kohli’s lean patch, Akhtar said the batter should focus on his batting. All these things are happening, these are happening so he becomes a bigger cricketer. He should not be scared, one should realise that they are up against a tough cricketer, Akhtar said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
