The murderous attack on Indian-origin author Salman Rushdie is being condemned all over the world. People are calling it a threat to freedom of expression. In the same way, Harry Potter writer JK Rowling also expressed her support for Rushdie on Twitter, on Saturday, August 13, 2022. But a pro-Iranian fundamentalist troll threatened her and said, ‘The next number is yours’. This threat to the British writer has been given by Meer Asif Aziz, a resident of Karachi city of Pakistan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dutch MP Girt Wilders has also received similar threats. On Twitter, Meer Asif Aziz describes himself as a student, social worker, political activist and research worker. Meer Asif has made lewd and provocative tweets about Israel and India on social media.JK received this threat after making a tweet in support of Rushdie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, 57-year-old writer Rowling wrote on Twitter after the attack on Salman Rushdie that she was deeply hurt by such an incident. She further wrote that she was feeling sick and hoped the novelist gets well soon. In response to this tweet, a user wrote, ‘Don’t worry, you are next’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
