A massive political row has erupted in Karnataka after the controversial ad went viral on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Newspaper ad in which Nehru has been excluded from the list of freedom fighters is doing rounds on social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Nehru will survive such pettiness. Karnataka CM Basavraj Bommai desperate to save his job knows what he has done is an insult to his father SR Bommai and his father&#8217;s first political guru MN Roy both were Nehru&#8217;s great admirers. He was not a coward like Savarkar, Siddaramaiah tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarifying the government\u2019s stand on it, the Karnatak BJP leader Mohan Krishna said Nehru&#8217;s picture is already there in the sketch along with Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Lakshmi Bai, and other leaders. The opposition is trying to blow it up by showing to the people something which is not true, he also said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Independence special ad published in Sunday Times is not included Jawaharlal Nehru in the list of freedom fighters but it includes Mahatma Gandhi, Maulana Azad, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Tipu Sultan and Veer Savarkar among others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advertisement included Savarkar\u2019s name as Revolutionary Savarkar. The ad also said Vinayak Damodar Savarkar published several books which advocated obtaining complete independence through revolutionary means.
