Ravi Shastri, the former India head coach, has provided the latest update on Rahul Dravid\u2019s health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The current India Head coach Rahul Dravid had tested positive for Covid-19 this morning and BCCI secretary Jay Shah made the official announcement through their official Twitter handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravi Shastri says that Indian fans don\u2019t need to worry about Dravid\u2019s heath as he just has mild symptoms and has normal flue. Ending the suspense for Rahul Dravid\u2019s participation in Asia Cup 2022 and specially the IND vs PAK clash has also been addressed by Ravi Shastri. He said that Dravid will definitely mentor the Indian Cricket Team against Babar Azam\u2019s Pakistan. Ravi Shastri said \u201cIn three-four days, Dravid will be back in the park soon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) has already stated that the Indian Head coach only has mild symptoms and hence, has been asked to undergo another test. While mentioning his physical heath during covid infection, Ravi Shastri, \u201cToday, they don\u2019t call it covid, it\u2019s just a flu yaar. In 3-4 days, everything will be fine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This morning when Rahul Dravid\u2019s covid reports were doing rounds on Twitter, Indian fans were heartbroken thinking about his absence. Experts were even suggesting NCA Head VVS Laxman\u2019s name for Asia Cup 2022 in Dravid\u2019s absence, who also mentored Indian team against Zimbabwe as Rahul Dravid was rested by the senior selectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Indian team including former Indian skipper Virat Kohli and regular captain Rohit Sharma have reached UAE and are currently in quarantine. All the teams have touched down the venue and soon will also begin preparations for the Asia Cup 2022. The tournament begins on August 27 and India will kickstart their campaign against arch rivals Pakistan on August 28.
