Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is likely to announce the formation of a political party in a rally in Jammu today. On August 26, he resigned from the Congress and said that he would launch a new political party in Jammu and Kashmir. Congress leaders had alleged that he was Modi-fied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday took a swipe at congress leaders and said that the MPs from 22 parties spoke about him (on his farewell) but only what the MP Modi said was highlighted. If one met other political parties and talked to them, it did not mean that his DNA was changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He alleged that the political parties nowadays seem to be at war with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his resignation letter, he wrote that after the entry of Rahul Gandhi, the entire Consultative mechanism which existed earlier was demolished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He blamed Rahul Gandhi for losing in the 2014 general elections. In the letter addressed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, he wrote that one of the most glaring examples of this immaturity was the tearing up of a government ordinance in the full glare of the media by Rahul Gandhi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ghulam Nabi Azad also criticized Rahul Gandhi for his childish behaviour. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi completely subverted the authority of the Prime Minister and the government of India. This one single action more than anything else contributed significantly to the defeat of the UPA government in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh alleged that Ghulam Nabi Azad was Modi-fied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wrote on Twitter that the Congress has given respect to Ghulam Nabi Azad, and kept him in office for 42 years, even after behaving like this resigning was inappropriate, it was beyond comprehension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ghulam Nabi Azad was the seventh chief minister of the state. He also served as the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the Congress-led UPA government. He was the leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha until February 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
