The photo and video sharing app Instagram was down on Thursday for several users around the world at around 10 am. Many Instagram users are complaining about lag as they are unable to send messages or log into the app. Users complained of not receiving or sending DMs, posting photos, sharing stories, or refreshing their Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instagram took to Twitter to share the news with its users. The tweet read We\u2019re aware that some people are having trouble accessing Instagram. We\u2019re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience, and hang tight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a real-time problem and outage monitoring website, Downdetector, nearly 19,000 users were having trouble accessing the social network. And what was next? Users took to Twitter and shared their anger and frustration with the hashtag InstagramDown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the users wrote that Just slapped my wifi router only to realize that Instagram was down. Another commented, Me opening and closing Instagram every five minutes to see if it’s back up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
