A 15-year-old Dalit student died on Monday in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya district. A government school teacher allegedly beat him up to make a mistake in a class test on September 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports said that the 10-class student died in the ambulance while being shifted to the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences at Saifai in Etawah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bhim Army, a political organisation committed to Dalit movements, staged a protest in Auraiya after the Dalit student’s death. Sharing this incident, journalist Piyush Rai wrote on Twitter that the situation was tense in UP’s Auraiya after the death of a minor Dalit student who died after a teacher at school allegedly beat him.
