A more than 900-metre-long corridor is one of India&#8217;s most oversized corridors. It would be a visual treat for the devotees visiting the temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The corridor has been developed at the Mahakaleshwar temple of the city. It is inspired by Shiv Leela. The temple was demolished by Sultan Iltutmish in 1234 and thereafter it was repeatedly built and broken till Ranoji Scindia did its Jinnodar in 1734. The project aims to decongest the entire area and also put special emphasis on the conservation and restoration of heritage structures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the project, the temple precinct will be expanded nearly seven times. The total cost of the entire project is around Rs 850 crore. The existing footfall of the temple, which is currently around 1.5 crore per annum, is expected to be doubled.
