Former Indian Cricketer Virendra Sehwag has come to the fore questioning the selection process by the management for Team India in the T20 World Cup. After India\u2019s World Cup dreams were snatched away by the English side, team India has been at the center of scrutiny for many of the players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Team India\u2019s former batsman Virendra Sehwag added to the conversation as the former player questioned the team selection committee\u2019s inadequacy to notice young talent. Sehwag stated to the press that India, who played 9 T20 bilateral series this year ahead of the World Cup, won the bilateral series with a combination of young and old players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Virender Sehwag remarked that when India is winning in bilateral series at home, the management should have seen how many top players performed in that, suggesting at the top players who missed out on the campaign to take a break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former cricketer further added and highlighted the new players who replaced the ones taking a break and then delivering in the bilateral series. if the new players can win in the T20 bilateral series at home, how come they can\u2019t be tried at the world cup, questioned Sehwag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sehwag also named Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Prithvi Shaw, and Ruturaj and called them international players who score runs. Sehwag further added that adding youngsters to the mix would have helped in generating some competition and which would have resulted in the Indian Cricket team has a good lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indian Cricket team\u2019s World Cup-winning dreams were put to sleep by the English side as India managed to set a target of 169 runs. After India lost its top players early on in the initial overs, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya took the charge of not giving up on the World Cup dreams as Hardik scored 63 runs off 33 balls whereas Virat scored 50 off 40 balls.
