England will play against Pakistan in the final of the T20 World Cup today, on Sunday, November 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both the teams will be come face to face in a World Cup on this ground after 30 years. The last time when the teams played against each other, in 1992, Pakistan clinched the title by defeating England in the final of the ODI World Cup. Imran Khan was a hero of that victory and today Babar Azam is set to realise the same dream. Now, the question arises whether Pakistan will be able to repeat the history of 1992 or will team England take a revenge?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was the fifth World Cup (1992). Earlier in 1975 and 1979, the West Indies team became champions. India won the tournament in 1983 and Australia in 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the semi-finals, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets. New Zealand had scored 262 runs for seven wickets in 50 overs. Wasim Akram and Mushtaq Ahmed took two wickets each. Inzaman-ul-Haq took Pakistan to the final by playing a tremendous inning of 60 runs in 37 balls. Pakistan scored 264 runs for six wickets in 49 overs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
England team can take revenge from Pakistan this time. The team\u2019s confidence is all boosted up after defeating India in the semi-finals. All their 11 players can bat. Adil Rashid, who plays in the last order, is also adept at scoring useful runs. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales are in blistering form. There are explosive batsmen like Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone, Ben Stokes, Harry Brook in the middle order. At the same time, there are Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Sam Karan and Chris Jordan for finishing. The team has seven options in bowling.
