Within a day, we are going to enter New Year 2023. People will clink glasses on the New Year’s eve from Saturday evening itself. Liquor sales increase in the country on the occasion of New Year’s celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there are many such days when the sale of liquor will remain prohibited in the country. The day, which is a doomsday for tipplers, is called Dry Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, let’s take a look at how many dry days will be observed in the year 2023. That is, on some days there will be no sale of liquor. Because many times after reaching the liquor shop, people come to know that the day was declared a dry day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the states in India have declared major national festivals and the days of Republic Day (26 January), Independence Day (15 August) and Gandhi Jayanti (2 October) as dry days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from these dates, there is a dry day in different states according to local festivals and anniversaries. Even a city can also have a dry day. All the liquor shops there remain closed. Apart from this, the areas where voting is to be held, there too, the sale of liquor is banned for 48 hours in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

States like Bihar and Gujarat are dry states, where the sale of alcohol is officially prohibited. According to the holidays in different states of the country, some special days of the year are kept as Dry Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
