On Wednesday, Delhi\u2019s temperature took a dive to hit the season\u2019s lowest temperature of 4.4 degree Celsius. According to reports, a dense layer of fog lowered visibility to 200 metres which created issues of traffic and railways delaying their schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) shared satellite images that showed a thick layer of fog over the Indo-Gangetic plains and the neighbouring regions including central and eastern parts of the country. Indira Gandhi International Airport\u2019s Palam Observatory registered a visibility level of 200 metres at 5:30 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Delhi\u2019s Primary weather station, Safdarjung observatory, logged the temperature at a minimum 4.4 degree Celsius. Reports suggest, the cold wave situation will make a return and likely to plunge the temperature to 4 degree Celsius on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The IMD has also informed that dense fog and cold day situations are likely to continue for the next 3 to 4 days in the national capital, after which the intensity will decrease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
