Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena on Monday announced the alliance of Uddhav\u2019s faction with Prakash Ambedkar\u2019s Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi party. It was reported that Thackeray had been discussing the proposition of alliance with BR Ambedkar\u2019s grandson Prakash Ambedkar for months before deciding to join hands. The Uddhav faction will be fighting their first election since getting unseated by Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and BJP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports suggest that Nationalist Congress Party is yet to approve of the move of alliance with Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uddhav Thackeray while talking about the alliance said that he is happy that people wanted the two parties to come together and announced the alliance between the outfits on the birth anniversary of Balasaheb Thackeray. He also added and said that his grandfather and Prakash Ambedkar\u2019s grandfather were colleagues as both of them fought against social issues at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uddhav Thackeray also said that the Thackeray and Ambedkar family have a history and now their future generations will follow in their footsteps fight on the current social issues of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambedkar also added and said that his Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi party has been organising protests on social issues and to predict if they would win on social issues is largely determined by the people, however, Ambedkar said that it is in the hands of the party to give people who advocate for social issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi\u2019s chief Prakash Ambedkar also told the media that the Nationalist Congress Party, who are allies of Uddhav\u2019s factions, is yet to approve of the alliance between Uddhav-led Shiv Sena and Vanchit Bahujan Party. Ambedkar also added and said that he hopes that the NCP will join the alliance as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The alliance between the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena comes as a bid to win against the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and BJP in the Civic body polls. The BMC elections are due this year and will mark the first time for the Uddhav-led Shiv Sena to contest an election after being unseated owing to the coup by former party member Eknath Shinde with BJP\u2019s assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
