She said that when we celebrate Republic Day, we celebrate what we have achieved together as a nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President hailed India\u2019s G20 presidency, terming it as an opportunity to promote democracy and multilateralism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>India declared itself a sovereign, democratic, and republic state on January 26, 1950, two months after the Constituent Assembly drafted the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is the chief guest for the occasion.
