A 14-year-old girl was found unconscious with her hands and legs tied with a rope in Assam’s Dibrugarh. The police suspect that she was gang-raped and have arrested two people in connection with this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the police, the girl had been missing since February 3. She was found unconscious near the Athabari tea garden, said Dibrugarh SP Shwetank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two accused who have been arrested are identified as Bhaijan Ali and Safar Ali. The SP also said that the accused will be prosecuted under Section 376 of the POCSO Act, 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In another gruesome incident, a 16-year-old allegedly raped and murdered a 58-year-old woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district on January 30 in Kailashpuri village under the Hanumana police station limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said the accused used to visit their house two years ago when he stole the phone, leading to enmity between the boy and the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the interrogation, the boy admitted to the crime. The police have registered a case against him under sections 302 (murder), 376 (rape), 460 (lurking house-<\/p>\n\n\n\n trespass or house-breaking by night) 380 (theft) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of an offence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He has also been sent to a juvenile home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
