A Kuwaiti woman was reported missing from Kolkata last month, has been spotted in Bangladesh along with a man, police said on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An official said the 31-year-old woman, who was in India for treatment at a private hospital, has crossed into Bangladesh with a man via the international border, adding that the Kolkata Police has informed the Kuwaiti Embassy about the development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The official added that following the information received from the police, the Kuwaiti Embassy sought the help of Bangladesh and the woman was found from a house in that country on Monday. Bangladesh police have handed her over to the Kuwaiti authorities, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the police, the woman arrived in Kolkata on January 20 along with her younger brother where she stayed at a five-star hotel and was receiving treatment for some skin-related problems at a private hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The woman reportedly went \u201cmissing\u201d after a visit to Kolkata\u2019s Alipore zoo on January 27. Her brother filed a missing report at Alipore police station. However, the police couldn\u2019t track her mobile phone due to having a Kuwaiti sim card inserted and instead started scanning nearby CCTV footage for any potential clues about what had transpired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
