According to reports, the NHRC took suo motu cognizance after learning about the incident which was reported on February 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the minor rape case, a girl studying in class 3 in a MCD school was reportedly raped by her sport teacher repeatedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NHRC in their issued notice to the Delhi Chief Secretary and the Delhi Police commissioner has instructed the officials to submit a report in the given matter within 4 weeks. NHRC\u2019s directions of the report by the authorities also demanded for the actions to reprimand the responsible teacher, the current status of the investigation, the status of Counselling and statutory relief provided to the survivor to be included in the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commission, while taking suo moto cognizance, said that if the contents of the media report is found to be true, it raises a serious issue of human right violations of the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>See Tweet here:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC issued notices to the Delhi Chief Secretary and the Police Commissioner over the reported sexual assault of a minor student in an MCD school by the Sports Teacher. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VpqprFcWan\">pic.twitter.com\/VpqprFcWan<\/a><\/p>&mdash; ANI (@ANI) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ANI\/status\/1624194706547814402?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 10, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The commision also has directed that the report should also contain that compensation has been awarded to the victim whether by state or Delhi Legal Service Authority irrespective if the trial took place or not, or offender was traced or identified in terms of Section 357(4) CrPC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NHRC in their press release also wrote and observed that the teacher plays a detrimental role in everyone\u2019s life as they are considered to be the real protectors and guides of their students, as well as true craftsmen to safeguard the environment for the younger generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commission also observed that such incidents stain the image of the schools and teachers leading to create a sense of insecurity in the society. NHRC in their press release also sought strict actions against the accused teacher and also noted that steps should be taken for preventing such incidents from happening again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family of the victim learnt about the incident after being suspicious of their child\u2019s behaviour in the past couple of days. According reports, the victim was not eating properly and wasn\u2019t behaving in a normal manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the family incessantly questioned their daughter, they learnt about the heinous crime where the girl told her family that the sports teacher repeatedly took her to a room in the school and raped her.
