The Prime Minister said that their courage and sacrifice motivates us to build a strong and developed India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He wrote: &#8220;Remembering our valorous heroes who we lost on this day in Pulwama. We will never forget their supreme sacrifice. Their courage motivates us to build a strong and developed India.<\/p>&mdash; Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/narendramodi\/status\/1625324032295055361?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 14, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Forty CRPF men were slain in Lethpora area of south Kashmir\u2019s Pulwama district on February 14, 2019, when a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read Also<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/trending\/dog-wedding-hindu-munnani-tamil-nadu\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/trending\/dog-wedding-hindu-munnani-tamil-nadu\/\">Tamil Nadu: Hindu outfit stages dog weddings in bizarre Valentine\u2019s Day protest | WATCH<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 78-vehicle convoy bound for Srinagar, ferrying more than 2,500 CRPF personnel had left Jammu at around 3:30 IST, came under attack in southern Kashmir, leaving over 40 CRPF soldiers&#8211; and the perpetrator, a local Jaish terrorist, Adil Ahmad Dar of Pulwama\u2014dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Investigation Agency (NIA) which started a probe into the bombing revealed that a car carrying more than 300 kilograms of explosives, including 80 kilograms of RDX, and ammonium nitrate, smashed into the convoy, causing widespread destruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An NIA chargesheet filed in August 2020, named 19 accused for perpetrating the suicide bombing, however, the probe agency was unable to trace the source of the large cache of explosives used in the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the attack, India carried out targeted air strikes against JeM terror camps in Balakote sector inside Pakistan on February 26 in which over 350 terrorists were killed, reportedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan, who vehemently denied any involvement in the Pulwama attack, carried out airstrikes of their own in Jammu and Kashmir on the next day.
