A few days after Priyanka Chopra opened up about her shift to the West and disclosed the secrets of the Bollywood industry, her mother Madhu Chopra has now revealed the real reason behind the actor losing major films in Bollywood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During an interaction with a media platform, Madhu Chopra her daughter’s journey from winning Miss World to headlining Hollywood projects was not an easy one. With no family connection in the film industry, Priyanka’s initial years were a challenge for her, she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Madhu revealed that Priyanka lost several films because she denied doing certain scenes. She said, one day they decided that she will not have any meetings, she will not go out anywhere, and she will not fraternize after 7-7.30 in the evening. She stood firm on this decision. She did not do what she was not comfortable with and did not overstep the boundaries she set for herself. She lost many films because she refused to do some scenes which she thought were not worth it, she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to Priyanka’s father and her late husband Ashok Chopra, Madhu said, initially her family had a problem with her joining the film industry as they were from an Army background. She said her family asserted that the girl of their family does not join the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire family sat down for a panchayat and both sides were putting their reasoning across, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Madhu further said her brother-in-law agreed to her to pursue this opportunity but on one condition that she [Priyanka] will never go anywhere alone. Either her mother has to be with her or her father has to be with her and because she did not want her to miss this opportunity, she said she decided to stop her work to be with her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking about Priyanka Chopra’s early years in the industry, she said, Both, she [Priyanka] and I were new to the film industry and the beauty industry. So, it was like one blind man leading another blind man. She said she had studied law and knew finance. So, she used to oversee her legal matters even though she had good lawyers. She said she also overlooked her finances because she had knowledge. She added that she accompanied Priyanka everywhere, be it narrations or meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka will be next seen in The Russo Brothers’ Citadel. The web series will premiere on Prime Video on April 28, 2023. She also has Love Again and a film, Heads of State, with Idris Elba and John Cena, lined up in the pipeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
