Former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Sunday hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s \u2018parivarvaad\u2019 (dynastic politics) remarks in Telangana as he accused the BJP of playing “politics of convenience” listed past instances of the saffron party aligning with dynastic political families in various states in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a sharp retort to PM Modi\u2019s swipe at KCR in Hyderabad on Saturday, wherein he said that corruption and dynasty go hand in hand, the former IT minister in a tweet, asked why the BJP joined hands with dynastic families in various states, listing recent instances such as\u2014Punjab (Akalis), Andhra Pradesh (Jagan), Haryana (Chautalas), J&K (Muftis) and Maharashtra (Thackerays)\u2026. \u201cNot dynasties when BJP joined them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sibal said that it\u2019s called politics of convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former Union minister wrote in another tweet: \u201cPM: Takes a swipe at KCR, says dynasty and corruption go hand in hand. BJP makes allegations of corruption against AAP. No dynasty there. Need not be dynasty to allege corruption. You say BJP not dynasty. Is BJP corrupt?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Saturday, PM Modi in a veiled dig at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), said that \u201chandful of people are encouraging \u2018parivaarvaad\u2019 (dynastic politics) in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing a public rally in Hyderabad, PM Modi urged KCR-led BRS government in the state to remove obstacles in development works which are in pipeline for the betterment of Telangana people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister said he was \u201cpained\u201d at the alleged non-cooperation of the ruling dispensation towards central initiatives aimed at the southern state and without naming anyone, claimed that a handful of people encouraging \u2018parivarvaad\u2019 (dynastic politics) and trying to see where they can reap benefits from projects being implemented for the people of Telangana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
