police use tear gas, water cannons to disperse them | WATCH"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Kerala Students Union (KSU) on Monday staged a protest in Thiruvananthapuram against the alleged \u201csaffronisation\u201d NCERT textbooks, following which the police resorted to tear smoke shelling and used water cannons to disperse the protesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports said that at least 300 members of KSU, the students wing of Congress\u2019s Kerala unit, took out a protest march on Monday in Thiruvananthapuram against alleged \u201csaffronisation\u201d of NCERT textbooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KSU members marched from Palayam to the AG\u2019s office while shouting slogans against the BJP-ruled Central government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WATCH?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#WATCH<\/a> | Police use water cannons &amp;
