In a shocking incident, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member from Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district allegedly died by suicide after the party denied him a ticket for the upcoming urban local body elections in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the reports, Deepak Saini demanded the ticket from the saffron party for the post of the chairman of Kandhla Nagar Palika. Later, the BJP shared the list of the candidates for the civic polls in Shamli, without Deepak’s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upset over this, the 26-year-old consumed poison. His family immediately took him to the nearby hospital where he was declared dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were reports that the party later released a new list containing Deepak’s name but by that time he died. Saini was a former member of Kandhla Nagar Palika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
