A letter warning of an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his upcoming two-day visit to Kerala was reportedly sent to the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), reports said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per reports quoting sources, a letter was received at the Kerala BJP\u2019s headquarters on April 17 warning of a life threat to PM Modi during his scheduled visit to the state on April 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They said the letter bearing the name of one Joseph Johnny as the sender, a resident of Ernakulam, was been handed over to the state police by Kerala BJP chief K. Surendran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The alleged sender, Johnny, was traced by the cops but denied having done anything wrong, reports said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PM Modi will kick-off his two-day Kerala visit with a roadshow in Kochi on April 24 following which he will address a meeting of the youth and also meet with supreme heads of nine different Churches in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister will spend the night in Kochi and will flag off the first Vande Bharat express in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram next morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PM Modi is then scheduled to inaugurate a slew of projects at the Central Stadium followed by addressing a public meeting in the Kerala capital at around midday, after which he will leave for his home state of Gujarat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
K. Surendran on Saturday said that a serious security lapse has taken place after a 49-page report prepared on the security measures to be taken by the top Intelligence officials of the Kerala Police during the Prime Minister\u2019s visit was reportedly leaked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking to newsmen, the state BJP chief said that it was baffling that an intelligence report of the Kerala Police mentions strong presence of terrorist and anti-national forces in the state at the time of the Prime Minister\u2019s visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Surendran questioned if the timing of such a report was because of PM Modi\u2019s upcoming visit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
